Details : Koh Ma Prao is an island located very near the land. Because it is full of rocks and cliffs with many caves of the seallow nest, the island is under the swallow's nest concession. Koh Ma Prao has a very white sandy beach about 100 meters long at the west. A large number of coconut trees on the island are the origin of the name coconut island.
There is no community or resort on the island, except the cottages of the island caretakers. In the past, the island was not opened for tourism . Located in the upper south of Thailand, Chumphon is regarded as the gateway to the South, with a 222-kilometer-long coastime along the Gulf of Thailand. How to get there
By car : From Bangkok, take the route Bhudda Monton-Nakhon Pathom-Petchburi, or the route Thonburi-Pak Tor, the highway 35. Then get into the highway 4 (Phetkasaem Road) at around Pak Tor Intersection. Pass Petchburi, and Prachuab Khiri Khan. When you reach Pathom Phon Intersection, continue with the highway 4001 for another 8 kilometers into Chumphon Town. The total distance is 498 kilometers, and the trip take around 6 hours.

By Bus : There are many kinds of buses from Southern Bus Station to Chumphon everyday. The journey take 7-8 hours.
